PROFESSIONAL WORK
In this piece, which I had the pleasure of collaborating on for Nexus Studios, I worked on two shots (one of which was split into two nearly identical shots). In the first one, which opens the commercial, about 60-70% of the environment had to be replaced with a matte painting. Almost only the people remained from the original shot, everything else was replaced. CGI elements were added to the sandcastle, the foreground sand was cleaned up, and one of the biggest challenges was stabilizing and reducing the movement of the umbrellas. When the scene was shot, there was quite a strong wind (which is particularly noticeable in the yellow dress of the woman at the center of the image), but the final scene needed to look bright and calm. For the final touches, the logos have been added on the left umbrella and towel as well as the white bag. (This task has been done after my mission was done.)
In the second shot, my main task was to create the template for adding the CGI face onto Flip, as well as compositing it. I also had to replace the sky and change the color of the umbrellas from their original yellow to pink. This also required adjusting the color in the reflections visible in the glasses on the table.
